The rules of the road for using Kangaruu — our platform, our subscriptions, and our SMS program.
Effective: April 23, 2026These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Kangaruu ("Kangaruu," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of our website, mobile and web applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that company to these Terms.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
Kangaruu provides a digital platform that connects shippers with motor carriers for the movement of freight. Kangaruu is a technology provider — we are not a motor carrier, freight broker, freight forwarder, or shipper, and we do not take possession of freight. Shippers and carriers contract directly with each other for transportation services.
We verify carrier authority through public data sources (including the FMCSA registry) but do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of such data.
Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and terms are described at the point of purchase. By subscribing, you authorize us (and our payment processor, Stripe) to charge the payment method on file on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Kangaruu operates an SMS messaging program delivered via our messaging provider, Twilio. The program is designed to support your use of the Services and keep you informed about your account, bids, loads, and shipments.
When you opt in, Kangaruu may send SMS messages including:
You opt in by providing your mobile number during registration, in your account settings, or through another affirmative action (such as checking an SMS consent box). Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase of any product or service.
Check with your wireless carrier for details about your plan. Kangaruu is not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.
Cancel all SMS messages from Kangaruu. You'll receive one confirmation message, then no more texts.
Receive help information and our contact email.
Resume SMS messages after previously opting out.
The Kangaruu SMS program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and U.S. Cellular. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile number, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent are governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

If you use the Services as a motor carrier, you represent that you hold all required federal and state operating authority, maintain required insurance coverage, and will comply with all applicable transportation laws and regulations, including FMCSA and DOT requirements.
If you use the Services as a shipper, you represent that you have the right to tender the freight you post, and that load information (including commodity, weight, dimensions, and hazard classification) is accurate.
Both shippers and carriers are solely responsible for the actual transportation of freight, compliance with applicable law, and the terms of their direct agreements with each other.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Services ("User Content"). You grant Kangaruu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, display, and transmit User Content as necessary to operate and improve the Services.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party or any applicable law.
Kangaruu and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks. These Terms do not grant you any right or license in our intellectual property except the limited, revocable right to use the Services as permitted.
Kangaruu does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information obtained through the Services will be accurate or reliable. Kangaruu is not a party to any transportation contract between shippers and carriers and is not responsible for the performance of any shipment.
Kangaruu's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Kangaruu in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kangaruu and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, or cost (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk to Kangaruu, other users, or third parties.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
You and Kangaruu each agree to attempt informal resolution before filing any formal action by contacting [email protected].
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as email or in-app notice). Continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
