This Privacy Policy describes how Kangaruu ("Kangaruu," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our website at kangaruu.com, our mobile and web applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Kangaruu operates a digital freight platform connecting shippers and motor carriers.

By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, Kangaruu may send you SMS (text) messages related to your account and use of the Services. Messaging is delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio.

Types of messages

Opt-in

You opt in to SMS by entering your mobile number during account registration or in your account settings and affirmatively consenting to receive text messages. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase of any Kangaruu service.

Frequency & charges

Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details.

Opt-out & help

You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and stop sending SMS messages. You may resume messaging by texting START or updating your preferences in your account. For help, reply HELP or contact [email protected].

Supported carriers

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and most other U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information — how it's shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as our messaging provider (Twilio), is permitted. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (including transportation and tax recordkeeping), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights & choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete.

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
